Spotify unveils new feature for taming music recommendations
Spotify is set to roll out a highly anticipated update that will give users unprecedented control over the personalized music recommendations that populate their feeds.

Curated listening, at last
The feature, announced recently, will allow users to review and edit their so-called 'taste profiles' – the algorithms that Spotify uses to understand and predict their musical preferences.
This 'profile' is at the heart of Spotify's recommendation engine, powering everything from Discover Weekly playlists to Release Radar and Year in Review.
With the new update, users will be able to see all the data that influences their profile in one place, including every song, podcast, and audiobook they've ever streamed.
Moreover, users will be able to directly modify their profiles using natural language instructions, effectively fine-tuning future recommendations to better align with their tastes.
The feature is initially launching in beta for Premium users in New Zealand, and will gradually roll out to other markets.
