Samsung's mid-range contenders arrive next week

The announcement, made via a tweet from Samsung India, confirms what many have been anticipating. While the official reveal doesn't divulge all specifications, the timing solidifies the impending arrival of these popular devices.

Leaked images and rumors have painted a picture of the Galaxy A57 sporting a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an Exynos 1680 chipset. Expect configurations including 6GB or 8GB of RAM and storage options of 128GB and 256GB. A triple-lens rear camera system, headlined by a 50MP wide sensor, and a 12MP front camera are also anticipated. The A57 is expected to pack a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W charging.

The Galaxy A37 is expected to share the A57's display and battery, but will likely feature an Exynos 1480 chipset, along with similar RAM and storage options. Its rear camera setup is rumored to include a 50MP wide, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro lens.

Both devices are almost certain to launch with Android 16 and One UI 8.5 pre-installed, and Samsung has promised six years of software updates. While pricing is still unconfirmed, analysts predict a slight increase compared to last year's models. The Galaxy A series consistently ranks as Samsung's top seller, and maintaining competitive pricing will be key to their continued success.

The focus remains on the higher-end Galaxy S26 series, but the Galaxy A lineup often dictates overall sales volumes for the company. If Samsung manages to hold the line on pricing, these mid-range phones could prove to be a significant win.

The launch of the A37 and A57 underscores Samsung’s commitment to offering compelling smartphone options across a range of price points, a strategy that has served them well in a fiercely competitive market.
