A report from GalaxyClub suggests the SM-L716 model, anticipated for a summer launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 foldables, will incorporate 5G capabilities. This development aligns with rumors of Samsung adopting Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear Elite processor, which integrates the technology.

The original Galaxy Watch Ultra, launched in 2022, lagged behind Apple in this area. While Samsung introduced 5G connectivity with its first 5G phone, the Galaxy S10 5G, in 2019, the wearable market has been slow to adopt this technology. The Galaxy Watch 9, expected to retain the Exynos W10 chipset, is projected to launch alongside the Ultra 2.
