Poco unleashes x8 series: massive battery, iron man edition arrives
POCO, Xiaomi's youth-focused brand, just dropped a triple threat: the X8 Pro Max, X8 Pro, and a flashy Iron Man edition. The lineup promises familiar value with a significant upgrade in power and features.

The standout is the X8 Pro Max, boasting a whopping 8,500mAh battery. Xiaomi claims this delivers up to two days of use, a feat previously unheard of in the POCO X series. And to fuel that power, it packs the Dimensity 9500 3nm chip, a serious performer capable of handling heavy gaming and multitasking without significant heat.
The X8 Pro utilizes the Dimensity 8500-Ultra, offering a notable 15.8% performance boost over its predecessor. Both models feature ray tracing for more immersive graphics and WildBoost Optimization, which intelligently predicts loads for smoother frame rates.
Display quality is also a key area of focus. The X8 Pro Max features a 6.83-inch display with a 3,500 nits of brightness, while the X8 Pro offers a 6.59-inch panel with similar capabilities. The Max also includes an in-display fingerprint sensor. Both feature dual speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support.
Camera configurations include a 50MP main sensor (Light Fusion 600 in the Max, Sony IMX882 in the Pro) paired with a 20MP front camera. Features like UltraSnap for quick action shots and Live Photos for dynamic video captures add to the appeal.
The phones debut Xiaomi HyperOS 3 with HyperConnect for device synchronization, HyperIsland for live activities, Google Gemini, and Circle to Search. Notably, the X8 Pro Max includes Xiaomi Offline Communication for calls without a network, an eSIM, and a Ticket Purchase Mode for quick purchases.
Iron man edition: style meets substance
But the real attention-grabber is the Iron Man Edition of the X8 Pro. Sporting a black and gold design inspired by Tony Stark's armor, a custom UI, and an Arc Reactor flash, it's a design choice that will undoubtedly resonate with fans. The internal specs remain largely consistent with the standard X8 Pro.
Pricing starts at €399.99 for the X8 Pro (8+256GB), €529.99 for the X8 Pro Max (12+256GB), and €499.99 for the Iron Man Edition (12+512GB). All models come bundled with Spotify and YouTube Premium trials.
