U.S. Pixel 10 series users are now getting a significant boost in smartphone functionality with the rollout of Gemini Screen automation. This feature, previously announced by Google, allows the AI to act as a digital agent, handling tasks within compatible apps – from ordering food to booking rides.

The update, part of Android 16 QPR 3, extends to the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10a. Users simply long-press the power button to access Gemini and then dictate their request. The AI then navigates the selected app, filling out forms and confirming transactions before presenting them for final approval.

Support currently extends to popular apps like Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Grubhub, Uber Eats, and Starbucks (with Instacart coming soon). Free users get five automations per day, while those with AI Premium ($7.99/month) receive up to 12. AI Pro ($19.99/month) and AI Ultra ($249.99/month) subscribers enjoy even higher limits—up to 20 and 120 automations daily, respectively.

Before diving in, users need to enable Screen automation in the Gemini app's settings. While the feature is available in the U.S. and South Korea (on the Samsung Galaxy S26 line), older Pixel models like the Pixel 6 Pro are currently excluded.
