Motorola razr 70 ultra officially leaked in stunning new images and video
After a trio of exhaustive reports from reputable publications over the past fortnight, there was little doubt left that the eagerly awaited sequel to last year's Razr Ultra, aka Razr 60 Ultra, was all but ready to be fully unveiled to the public. And indeed, today we're getting a plethora of beautiful, professional-grade promotional material courtesy of none other than the legendary Evan Blass, offering us an early look at Motorola's next Galaxy Z Flip 7 (and Z Flip 8) rival.
Stunning color options and design
The flagship foldable appears in not one, not two, but two glorious Pantone-inspired hues - the already leaked Orient Blue Alcantara finish and a new, albeit equally stunning, Cocoa shade with a matte wooden texture. The 'official' promotional images, showcasing both colorways in exquisite detail, are sure to turn heads and, quite possibly, cause a bit of drool to escape your mouth.
Another highlight of these new pictures is the chance to appreciate the massive, high-definition primary and secondary AMOLED screens of the Razr 70 Ultra, aka Razr Ultra (2026), in all their glory. We also get a peek at the dual rear-facing cameras and the centered front-facing snapper.
Specifications and pricing
While none of these tidbits should come as a huge surprise, they do confirm the Razr 70 Ultra's expected specs and features: a 7-inch primary AMOLED screen with a 2992 x 1224 pixel resolution and 165Hz refresh rate tech; a 4-inch secondary AMOLED panel with a 1272 x 1080 pixel resolution and 165Hz refresh rate support; a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor; 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage variants; 12 and 16GB RAM options; a 50MP primary rear-facing camera; a 50MP secondary ultra-wide-angle lens; a 50MP front-facing camera; a 5,000mAh battery; 68W charging capabilities; Android 16; USB-C, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC; IP48 water and dust resistance; 171.48 x 73.99 x 7.19mm dimensions (unfolded); 88 x 74.1 x 15.8mm dimensions (folded); and a weight of 199 grams.
However, the US pricing for this foldable powerhouse is reportedly set at $1,499.99 for a 512GB internal storage capacity and 16GB of RAM, a $200 hike compared to the starting price of the first-gen Razr Ultra's similar configuration last year. While Motorola understands the challenges facing smartphone manufacturers, justifying a $1,499.99 price tag for the Razr Ultra (2026) might prove tough, especially when considering the 2025 edition and Samsung's 2025-released Galaxy Z Flip 7 are significantly cheaper.
That being said, the Razr Ultra (2026) is not doomed just yet. If Motorola can offer the same sizeable discounts as its predecessor, scoring a hefty $200 price drop to $1,299.99 or $1,199.99 by, say, June or July, then the foldable might still have a chance to become a hit. After all, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 normally retails for $1,099.99 and $1,299.99 in 256 and 512GB storage variants, respectively, so a discounted Razr Ultra (2026) could definitely compete for the title of best foldable out there this year - at least until the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Z Fold 8 arrive in the summer and then Apple's iPhone Ultra (or iPhone Fold) in the fall.
