Google has dropped Android 17 QPR1 Beta 7, marking the first Pixel Drop for the upcoming September update. This seventh beta build, with the codename CP31.260623.005 and a security patch level of 2026-07-05, comes bundled with Google Play services 26.20.31.

Android 17 QPR1 Beta 7 exterminates several bugs, including a problematic glitch affecting the Pixel's reverse wireless charging feature, dubbed Battery Share. This feature, which enables users to charge other devices by placing their Pixel screen down on a flat surface, would sometimes fail to share power or incorrectly display the wireless charging animation.
