Galaxy s27 lineup: consumers want the status quo
Samsung's next-generation Galaxy smartphones are on the horizon, and the question on many minds is: will the company alter its strategy? Will the popular Galaxy S27 Plus be ditched?

Majority of users prefer current galaxy trio
A recent poll reveals a surprising preference among consumers: the traditional lineup of the Galaxy S27, S27 Plus, and S27 Ultra remains the preferred option for most.
The results indicate that a significant 34.56% of respondents want Samsung to continue with the current three-model strategy. This contrasts with the 22.59% who favor a streamlined approach, sticking to just the S27 and S27 Ultra.
Interestingly, the remaining votes are fairly distributed among other options, including a potential revival of the Note series (14.48%), the return of the Fan Edition (FE) alongside the flagships (14.29%), and the continuation of the Edge experiment (14.09%).
This preference for the Plus model—often viewed as a middle ground—suggests a pragmatic approach from consumers. Not everyone desires the massive screen and high-end camera of the Ultra, but the standard 6.1 or 6.2-inch displays can feel limiting for media consumption and gaming.
Samsung faces pressure from competitors who are also experimenting with product portfolios and offering large-screen devices at competitive prices. Removing the S27 Plus could hand a substantial market share to these rivals.
While some tech enthusiasts may yearn for a return to the Note series or a simpler lineup, a substantial portion of consumers value the choice the Plus model provides. This isn't about chasing the latest trend; it's about finding a device that simply fits a need.
The inclusion of the S27 Plus ensures that there’s a Galaxy device for a range of users. It's a recognition that not everyone wants a phone designed for extreme functionality – some simply want a large screen without the premium price tag.
This desire for balance is a powerful signal to Samsung, and one they are unlikely to ignore. After all, consistently delivering options that cater to diverse needs isn't a weakness; it is a strength in a crowded marketplace.
