Last year’s iPhone 17 Pro lineup surprised everyone with its unexpectedly strong performance, fueled by a design that resonated with consumers. That success is anticipated to continue with the iPhone 18, but this time, the boost is internal – specifically, a significant increase in memory.

Analysts point to the growing reliance on on-device AI processing as the key driver. Apple’s new Siri Intelligence features, which require substantial computational power, are reportedly straining the capabilities of the current 8GB RAM found in the iPhone 17’s standard model.
